The Virgin Islands Architecture Center for Built Heritage and Crafts (VIAC) is celebrating Historic Preservation Month with the presentation of “Memories of Christiansted – A Walk Through Time with Bobby Schuster” on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10 am to 12 Noon at the Little Theater at the University of the Virgin Islands. St. Croix educator, entrepreneur, historian and VIAC Board Member Bobby Schuster will lead the audience on a journey through time with his collection of historic photographs of Christiansted over the last two centuries. Can you recognize the places you pass every day by their old photos? Are you curious about how the town has developed over time? Do you remember places and spaces before Hurricane Hugo? Are you new to the island and want to learn more? Then join VIAC as we take a walk down memory lane and learn about the history and evolution of the town of Christiansted.
